The third part of Fantastic Beasts will arrive at the big screen on November 11, 2021. The original release date was November 2020 however, the movie was pushed back in order to provide more time to the creative team and to J. K. Rowling, who’s rewriting the script, Warner Brothers Pictures. For the movie to be ready to be released in 2020, the shooting should start right after the release of The Crimes of Grindelwald.
The announcement was made by Ron Sanders, Worldwide Theatrical and Distribution President at Warner Brothers. Sanders declared that the studios are proud of being the cinematic home of the Wizarding World and that they’re excited about the future of the Fantastic Beasts franchise. “We all believe this release date will give the filmmakers time and space to allow their artistry to truly flourish and deliver the best possible film to our fans”, said Toby Emmerich, Warner Bros. Group chairman.

J.K. Rowling is rewriting the script of the third Fantastic Beasts’ film
Following the new release date, the film shooting will begin between March and June 2020. Besides being directed by David Yates, responsible for the first two movies, the third installment’s original script is being written by J.K. Rowling. In the cast, it is expected that Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) will be back, in addition to Jude Law (Professor Albus Dumbledore), and Johnny Depp as the villain Grindelwald.
