The Australian production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child revealed the first pictures of the cast characterized to celebrate the preview shows.

Sean Rees-Wemyss, responsible for playing Albus Potter, is known for being in the Australian TV shows, Killing Time and Nowhere Boys. Meanwhile, Lucy Goleby had her last main role in the TV show Oh Yuck!. Gareth Reeves is known for being in movies such as Pete’s Dragon, besides making special guest appearances in The Leftovers.

Gyton Grantley was in the movies Don’t Tell and The Dressmaker. In 2012, he was nominated to the Matilda awards for his performance in the play Ruben Guthrie, where he played the lead character. Manali Datar, who plays Rose Granger-Weasley is making her debut. Paula Arundell was part of big productions, such as Angels in America, The Threepenny Opera – which led to a nomination to the Helpmann Prize as Best Actress in a Musical – and Company.

Tom Wren is known for his role in Inbetweeners 2, where he played Stephen. The actor was also on the TV shows The Blake Mysteries, Paradise Pictures and Winners and Losers. William McKenna, responsible for playing Scorpius Malfoy, makes his debut in theater, although he was in the TV show Nowhere Boys.

The Australian production of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child premiers on February 23rd, 2019 at the Princess Theatre, in Melbourne. The play is also open at the Palace Theater in London and the Lyric Theater in New York. In 2019, the play will premier at the Curran Theater in San Francisco, the USA. In 2020, the play will get its first translated version, in Hamburg, Germany.
