The film Fantastic Beasts: the Crimes of Grindelwald will have an extended version when released in the digital platforms, according to the presale announcements for the film’s Blu-Ray.
This is the third out of the ten Wizarding World films to get an extended version. Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone went from 152 to 159 minutes and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets from 154 to 167 minutes.
Warner Bros. has not disclosed which scenes will be in the extended version of The Crimes of Grindelwald, which will be around 7 minutes longer than the version seen in theatres. In this version, there will also be an audio introduction made by [David Yates], the film’s director. The company’s last blockbuster to get an extended version, Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice, got more than 30 minutes of never seen scenes in the release of the home video.
Fantastic Beasts: the Crimes of Grindelwald is the second part of a series of five films in the Fantastic Beasts series. Written by [J.K. Rowling] and directed by [David Yates], the film opened worldwide on November 16th, 2018.
