Last week, Warner Bros. registered the brand ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’, ensuring the right to a cinematographic version and the potencial profit over merchandising products.
The information was divulged by Brian Conroy (via SlashFilm). Owner of a specialized site in registered brands, Conroy points out that Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc. has filed to register the brand Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, on the last July 8th. The registering includes the possibility of creating a feature film, but for the time being it’s about just a “guarantee”.
On February of this year, author J.K. Rowling had said on Twitter that there would be not be a movie of “Cursed Child”. While a official confirmation doesn’t happen, the Harry Potter universe goes back to the movies with Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them.
