To celebrate the new edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, Pottermore, the digital heart of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World, released the concept art of six creatures featured on the book.

One of them, already familiar to the fans who have watched the film in November, is the Thunderbird. In Andy Singleton’s hands, it got an illustration that imitates 3D paper:

“The Thunderbird is known for its majestic appearance and the power to create storms as it flies. Here, the storm has been realised through layers of paper, and you can make out the bird’s multiple wings.”

To meet the Hidebehind, the Horned Serpent, the Wampus Cat, the Snallygaster and the Hodag, go to Pottermore!

The new edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, as well as the audio book narrated by Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), are already on sale on Pottermore’s online shop.
