The American actress and comedian Jessica Williams was personally invited by [J.K. Rowling] to take part in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel. On an interview to Entertainment Weekly about the game The Sims, she revealed the relation she has with the author. “I hang out with [J.K. Rowling] and she sought out for me a few days afterwards. She sent me emails about an amazing character she was working on.”

The two were close since the day the author sent the actress a message on Twitter because they share the same birthday (July, 31st). On Stephen Colbert’s talk show, Jessica told that, in the message, the author said she wanted to congratulate her for her birthday, but had forgotten. Both met in London and found out they had many things in common, including their love for The Sims.

Known for the Netflix show The Incredible Jessica James, the actress also revealed to EW her passion for Harry Potter. “These books and movies, especially the books, were so important to me. When I was in fourth grade reading those books, I couldn’t imagine that I would play a character from that world. It’s insane to me”, she says.

Jessica William’s addition to ‘Fantastic Beasts 2’ cast was announced back in October, but her role still hasn’t been revealed. The movie will hit worldwide theaters on November 16th, 2018.
