Actor Daniel Radcliffe, who played Harry Potter in the movies, recorded a video reading the first chapter from The Philosopher’s Stone. The video is part of the project Harry Potter at Home, which gathers themed activities to entertain fans during the COVID-19 quarantine.
Besides Daniel Radcliffe, other actors from Harry Potter, Fantastic Beasts, and the play Cursed Child, will also record videos reading The Philosopher’s Stone. The next chapters will be read by Eddie Redmayne (Newt Scamander), Noma Dumezweni (Hermione Granger), and Claudia Kim (Nagini).
Other international celebrities, like the actress Dakota Fanning (from the Twilight saga), ex-soccer player David Beckham and the narrator from British edition from the Harry Potter audiobooks, Stephen Fry, will also take part in the reading. Here’s a sneak peek:
