The company Niantic confirmed the release of Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, an augmented reality game for mobiles, in 2019. The game will be free and it will give the users the chance to interact with the environment around them.
Check out below the teaser published on the game official account on Twitter:

Niantic has also created a website to promote the game. There, it is disclosed that the Wizarding World is at risk of exposure and wizards and witches are being called on to roll up to volunteer for a task force formed by the Ministry of Magic in order to keep the Muggles out of the Wizarding World. The game mechanism is promised to be similar to the augmented reality predecessors, using localization data and allowing the players to explore the environment whilst collecting items.
The app is being developed in partnership with Warner Bros. and its new sub-brand, Portkey Games. So far, there is no specific date for the game to be launched.
