HarperCollins Publishers announced the release of five books on the backstage of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them: The Crimes of Grindelwald. Among the releases, there are books from authors already known by the Wizarding World fans, and sequels of previously published books.

The first one to be released is Fantastic Beasts: Wizarding World News, by Jody Revenson, author of The Character Vault and The Creature Vault (Harper Design). On this ninety-six-page book, inspired by newspapers seen on Fantastic Beasts franchise, stories about the backstage of the first movie are told, some which couldn’t have been revealed before, and a few surprises of what is to come in The Crimes of Grindelwald. The release date is September 6, and the estimated price, $19.33.

On November 16, the international release date of The Crimes of Grindelwald, the other four books will be released. One of them is The Art of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, a collection of production paintings, concept art, set models and storyboards under curator Dermot Power, besides commentary by production designer Stuart Craig and other artists. It will cost $60.00.

Ian Nathan, author of Inside the Magic: The Making of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, contributes to the releases with Lights, Camera, Magic! The Making of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, which narrates the story behind the cameras, from script to the filming, with profiles of the main characters and interviews with actors, besides details of some production departments, including makeup, special effects and props. To be released for $19.99.

A coloring book will also be released, titled Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald – Magical Adventures Coloring Book, with characters, places and creatures, besides a special poster that becomes a giant coloring page.

Finally, the publisher will release a sequel of The Case of Beasts: Explore the Film Wizardry of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, by Mark Salisbury, designed by MinaLima (the same crew behind the graphic design of the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises). This continuation may be written by Signe Bergstrom, who has written books on the backstage of great blockbusters, like Suicide Squad, Wonder Woman, and The Greatest Showman. This edition, however, is not available for pre-order, neither has a confirmed price.
