We have less than 20 days to the world premier of “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, and the Gay Times Magazine – British magazine aimed to the gay and bisexual male community – released a long interview with the cast of the newest film of J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World.
The interview is mainly focused on Eddie Redmayne, who answers questions related to the LGBT+ characters he already played and his new experience as Newt Scamander.
Check out a small excerpt from the interview:
“She also created a huge LGBT+ fanbase for the franchise. Why does Eddie think that is? ‘Well, Robert Pattinson is in some of the movies for a start’, he laughs. ‘But seriously, what’s amazing about what J.K. Rowling does is she finds everyone’s souls, basically. Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore was, of course, revealed to be gay. ‘And I feel like a human being she’s incredibly inclusive’, Eddie says of a woman who advocates for LGBT+ rights and who, when some balked at the Dumbledore revelation, declared: ‘It has certainly never been news to me that a brave and brilliant man could love other men’.”
