The Wizarding World Digital, new official website for the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts franchises, has just released a new Sorting Hat test.
The test was made publicly available today, the day after Pottermore.com migrated completely to WizardingWorld.com. The new Sorting Ceremony is available in the United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand through the new Wizarding World app. Users from other countries can, however, take the test directly on the website. According to Wizarding World Digital, the app will be released in other countries, although no release date has been mentioned.
The new Sorting Hat test is a more interactive version that maintains the original questions made by J.K. Rowling and the algorithm of the former Pottermore test.
The official Harry Potter app
The new Wizarding World app will also feature a digital magazine, the Wizarding Weekly. Additionally, the service will feature news, announcements, and researches related to the Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series.
Besides consuming content, users will be able to carry in their pockets information such as their Hogwarts’ houses, their wand, and their Patronus, since the app will be connected to the Pottermore accounts and the digital passport from the Wizarding World website.
The articles J. K. Rowling wrote to Pottermore over the last years will also be available on the app. The articles will be updated to new formats. At last, as a bonus, exclusive content can be unlocked through hidden codes that you can find in the news and emails sent by the app.
The Wizarding World Digital is available for Android and iOS.
