Pottermore has revealed on its social networks the first pictures of the illustrated edition of The Tales of Beedle, the Bard to be published on October 2, 2018, in the United Kingdom.
Chris Riddell, the artist in charge of the edition, has illustrated Neil Gaiman’s works, such as The Sleeping Beauty. [J.K. Rowling]’s profits with The Tales of Beedle, the Bard sales will still be donated to Lumos, the NGO the author created and still presides, which acts in order to improve children and teenagers’ lives around the world.

Released in 2008, the original book features tales for children of the Wizarding World and commentary by Albus Dumbledore. Mentioned in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, one of the tales (The Three Brothers) has vital importance for the plot.
