In an interview with the British news website Access, Tom Felton revealed that he would agree to reprise his role as Draco Malfoy if Harry Potter and the Cursed Child was adapted for the big screen.
“Sure! Was that an offer? Do you know that for a fact? You just offered me the part of Draco. Thank you so much! I knew there another reason why I was here”, he joked.
The interviewer also asked if Tom was surprised by Nagini’s revelation in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. “Not really. Not that I had any other assumptions, I think it is all beautifully crafted together. I love finding out all these little tidbits”, the actor said.
Tom Felton also talked about his work on the series Origin, produced for YouTube Red. “I love the multicultural, multinational aspect of it,” he said. In the series, the actor works with Natalia Tena, who played Nymphadora Tonks in the Harry Potter movies. “It was really nice actually. We didn’t find out until we landed in Cape Town that we were going to be working on that”, he said. In Origin, a group of strangers finds themselves stranded on a spacecraft bound for a distant planet. The abandoned passengers must work together for survival, but quickly realize that one of them is not who he claims to be.
