The illustrated version of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire will be released in the United Kingdom on October 8th, 2019, revealed Bloomsbury, the British publishing responsible for the Harry Potter series.
The book cover has not been revealed yet. In an interview to POTTERISH in 2018, Jim Kay, the project’s illustrator, explained that this is a hard decision made between him and the editors. “People expect to see Harry on the cover, which limits things to some degree. It is also an awkward shape to compose an image on: it has to go over the spine onto the reverse cover, but leave space for the title.”, he explained.
To the cover, Jim Kay thinks that the Goblet is not very exciting to look at. “We are considering the Triwizard Tournament tasks, the dragons, the maze… Beauxbatons and Durmstrang arrive via wonderful vehicles, which is tempting…” he said.
The illustrated version of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is available for pre-sale on Bloomsbury’s official website.
