On round-tables, in London, about “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, actor Eddie Redmayne and actress Katherine Waterston talked about Zoe Kravitz’ part as Leta Lestrange, a important character on the new series.
During the interview, the actors replied to the SnitchSeeker‘s reporter about the relationship between their characters and how Leta Lestrange may interfere. Katherine Waterston joked about finding the competition unfair and Eddie Redmayne revealed that he tried to find clues about the next film on the two script pages he and Zoe Kravitz read for her audition.
SnitchSeeker:In that [final] scenes it forms the relationship between your characters… you have Leta Lestrange coming into it. Is that something we may see featured in the next film?
Katherine Waterston:I mean, why wouldn’t you put Zoe Kravitz in your movie? Also, what fresh hell is that to have her be any kind of competition for me? If I was dating someone, and she was interested in them, I’d probably be like ‘just go do it! Live your life!’
Eddie Redmayne: What was interesting, when we were auditioning with Zoe for that part – because she’s just a photograph in this film – there was a scene from the next film, and we kind of saw a little about the next film. I was trying to pick apart this one scene to try to find different clues about where we could be going. You’ll see her.
