The book Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone will get a new illustrated edition. This time, by the designers Eduardo Lima, who is Brazilian, and Miraphora Mina, who is British. The British edition will be released on October 20.
The book will have interactive elements to surprise fans, such as pages that can be unfolded with illustrations of magical places, like the Diagon Alley and the Hogwarts Castle, made by MinaLima Studios, that worked in all Harry Potter and Fantastic Beast films, creating props such as the Marauder’s Map and the Daily Prophet newspapers.
Eduardo and Miraphora, who are working in the third film from the Fantastic Beasts‘ franchise, have already illustrated several classic children books such as Peter Pan, The Adventures of Pinocchio, Beauty and the Beast, The Jungle Book and Alice in the Wonderland.
This is not the first illustration edition of the Harry Potter books. In parallel with MinaLima’s work, J.K. Rowling books are getting a new look by the British illustrator Jim Kay, who has already published illustrated editions of the first four books from the series.
