The first ‘open world’ Harry Potter game will be set at the Hogwarts Castle during the 19th century. Named Hogwarts Legacy, the game will be launched in 2021 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC, according to Warner Bros. Games.

In Hogwarts Legacy, players will take part in a unique adventure before Newt Scamander and Harry Potter’s arrival at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The main character is a student who had a late acceptance to Hogwarts and, shortly after arriving at the Castle, finds out he keeps an old secret that threatens to tear the Wizarding World apart.

Throughout the game, it will be possible to cast spells, participate in duels, prepare potions and deal with magical creatures, from scary dragons, trolls and erumpents, to cute mooncalves. Watch the trailer for the game:

The game Hogwarts Legacy was developed by Avalanche studio, known for producing Disney Infinity.
