The start of production for the third movie of the Fantastic Beasts franchise has been postponed, according to the North-American website Deadline. The filming, that was expected to start in July 2019, could have been pushed back to December, late fall in North America.
Also according to the website, the delay is to give the production team more preparation time. Previous Warner Bros. administrations had the tendency to rush event films to meet release dates, but now Warner Bros. executives have a new approach of allowing big productions to brew as needed.
The third film was expected to be released on November 19, 2020. With this information, it becomes uncertain whether the date will be kept.
