Eddie Redmayne, who portrays the main character in the Fantastic Beasts franchise, revealed that the filming of the third movie starts early in 2020. The actor said the producers are still working on the screenplay, written by J.K. Rowling.
The information was revealed by the website Entertainment Tonight during the Toronto International Film Festival, where the actor released his new movie, The Aeronauts.

The Aeronauts is the story of Amelia Wren and James Glaisher, an unlikely pair on a balloon expedition. Their mission is to fly higher than any other person in history. The rarefied air and low chances of survival will reveal their biggest secrets.
Written Jack Thorne, who wrote Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and directed by Tom Harper, who made the BBC version of War and Peace, the movie will premiere worldwide on Prime Video, Amazon’s streaming service, on December 20, 2019. Watch the trailer:

Written by J.K. Rowling and directed by David Yates, the third film of the Fantastic Beasts franchise hits the movies on November 12th, 2021.
Besides Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston (Tina Goldstein), Alison Sudol (Queenie Goldstein), Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) and Ezra Miller (Credence) are probably going to be back on their roles. In addition, Jude Law and Johnny Depp will probably return on their roles as Professor Albus Dumbledore and the villain Grindelwald.
